So, I've been meaning to post for a while about Elijah's two week appointment. What a little lug, and I mean that in the most loving way. At birth he weighed 10lbs, 11oz. = big, in otherwords.
At his two week appointment, he weighed 11lbs, 4 oz. That is the 95th percentile! oye
His length, which I can't remember specifically, was in the 90th percentile and his head circumference was also in the 90th percentile.
I love my little lug.
(not meaning to weird out anyone...but i was doing a little math and came to some painful conclusions.
important point #1 - at birth his head circ. was 38cm.
important point #2 - for a vaginal birth, they wait until you are dialated to 10cm.
if i remember correctly from math class (and with a little assistance from wikipedia) pi x diameter= circumference. 10cm (diameter) x pi (3.14) = 31cm. do you get where i am going here? HIS HEAD WAS 38cm!!! yikes, thank goodness for c-sections.)
